Meet Kenny
My calling to chaplaincy was born in one of the most vulnerable moments of my life—when my wife was in the ICU and my newborn daughter was in the NICU following a traumatic birth. I found myself desperately needing support but not knowing where to turn. I needed someone who could hold space for my emotional pain while also understanding the spiritual questions I was wrestling with. I needed more than a therapist and more than traditional spiritual guidance. I needed both, woven together—and something more.
That person didn't exist in my life at that moment, and the isolation I felt was profound. It was only later that I discovered the profession of chaplaincy and realized this was exactly what I had been searching for: a trained professional who could provide both emotional and spiritual care during life's most challenging moments.
That experience changed the trajectory of my life. I pursued rigorous clinical training and spiritual scholarship so I could become the person I needed when I was at my most vulnerable. Now, through The Sacred Pause, I offer the compassionate, integrated care I wish had been available to me—a space where your emotional struggles and spiritual questions are held with equal care, expertise, and dignity.
No one should have to navigate crisis alone or choose between their emotional and spiritual needs. I'm here to walk alongside you through both.
