The Origin of
"The Sacred Pause"
The Sacred Pause isn't just a name—it's a proven approach born from real clinical work.
While serving as a Spiritual Health Clinician Fellow at Stanford Health Care, I developed and led "The Sacred Pause" program—a specialized session combining meditation, reflection, and sound bath practices designed for patients and staff in Psychiatric units, ICUs, and Bone Marrow Transplant departments.
The program explored themes of patience, presence, and coping with grief, fostering inner resilience during some of life's most overwhelming moments. Healthcare workers facing burnout and compassion fatigue found renewal. Patients in psychiatric crisis found grounding. Families keeping vigil in ICUs found moments of peace and clarity.
That's the power of a sacred pause—a moment to stop, breathe, and reconnect with what matters most.
Now, I bring this same approach to you. Whether you're navigating grief, mental health challenges, spiritual questions, or life transitions, The Sacred Pause offers that same space: a place to stop, be seen, be heard, and remember your innate wholeness.
At The Sacred Pause, spiritual health care is rooted in compassion, clinical competency, and deep respect for each person's unique journey. You are the expert on your own life—the sacred pause brings professional training, clinical experience from top hospitals, evidence-based tools, and spiritual depth, but your inner knowing and lived experience are essential to the healing process.
The Sacred Pause approach is both evidence-based and heart-centered. It's informed by my work in some of the most intense healthcare environments—ICUs, psychiatric units, trauma centers—and by contemplative traditions that have guided humans through suffering for millennia.
